About these Pregnancy Cards
An announcement card is doing something no other card does. It carries news the person opening it does not know is coming, and it is nearly always opened in front of the sender, so the reaction is the point. These are the ones handed to a mother, a father or a sister across a kitchen table, or posted to a grandparent who will ring back inside four minutes.
The wording stays on the front and stops short of explaining, so the penny drops rather than being spelled out.
Made to order in my studio in Mallow, printed on heavyweight cardstock and blank inside, so the due date or the scan date can be written in by you. Dispatch is 2 to 4 working days by An Post. Pregnancy Cards questions, answered
What size are the cards, and what do they cost?
Most designs come in two sizes. A6 at 10.5 by 14.8 cm, from 3.99 euro, and A5 at 14.8 by 21 cm, from 4.50 euro. A few designs are A6 only. The sizes and prices available are shown on each product page.
Can I add a name?
On personalised designs, yes. Type the name into the box on the product page and it is printed on the card. Premade designs are printed exactly as shown, with no name.
Is anything printed inside?
No. The inside is left blank so you can write your own message. Any personalisation is printed on the front of the card.
Does it come with an envelope?
Yes. Every card is sent with an envelope included in the price, kraft or white depending on the design.
Are the cards foiled or printed?
Both. Most designs are printed on 300gsm card with a smooth matte finish, and some are finished with real foil pressed by hand. A few are scratch-off. The finish is stated on each product page.
What if I spot a mistake in the details?
Message me straight away. If it has not gone to print yet I will fix it at no cost. Once it is printed and dispatched, a replacement is a paid reprint.
How long before it arrives?
Made to order and dispatched within 2 to 4 working days, then standard An Post delivery within Ireland.
