About these Mother’s Day Cards
Irish Mother's Day falls in March, three months before the American one, which catches people out every single year once the internet starts talking about it in May. What you call her matters just as much. Mam, Mum, Mammy, Ma and Mother are five different women in five different families, and a card that gets it wrong is noticed immediately.
The designs run from soft florals through to the blunt and funny, because plenty of mothers find a sentimental card mortifying and would far rather be slagged.
Made to order in Mallow, County Cork, on heavyweight cardstock and blank inside, so what you write is yours rather than a printed verse. Real foil is pressed by hand, and rose gold is the most popular finish here. Dispatch is 2 to 4 working days by An Post, so allow for it in March. Everything you need to know before you personalise a card.
How does personalising work?
On the product page there's a box for the name, age or wording you want. Some designs add that text into the printed design itself, others leave the inside blank for you to write by hand. Each product page says which one it is.
Can I see a proof before it's printed?
For a straightforward name and date, I print without a separate proof. If your wording is longer or unusual, message me first and I'll confirm it before it goes to print.
What if I spot a typo after I've ordered?
Message me as soon as you can. If it hasn't gone to print yet I can fix it for free. Once it's printed and dispatched, a replacement is a paid reprint.
What foil colours do you offer?
Gold, silver, rose gold and holographic, plus gold holographic on some designs, I have over 30 foil color to choose from. Each product page shows which colours are available for that card.
Which size should I pick?
A6 is the standard card size and A5 is roughly double, better when the design carries a lot of wording or you want it to feel like a keepsake.
How long before it arrives?
- Made to order and dispatched within 2-4 working days, then standard An Post delivery within Ireland.
