About these Godparent Proposal Cards
Asking someone to be godmother or godfather is a real question, not an admin detail, and it is usually asked months before the church is booked. A card makes it an occasion rather than a text message, and it gives the person something to keep once they have said yes. Most are bought in pairs, one for each godparent, and they are handed over at a family dinner or posted to a sister living abroad.
The wording is printed with your own phrasing before the card is made, so it can carry the baby's name, the date if it is known, or the line you would rather say out loud than write in biro afterwards. Cards are A5 or A6 on heavyweight cardstock with an envelope, from €3.90, blank inside for the message that follows the question.

What size are the cards, and what do they cost?
Most designs come in two sizes. A6 at 10.5 by 14.8 cm, from 3.99 euro, and A5 at 14.8 by 21 cm, from 4.50 euro. A few designs are A6 only. The sizes and prices available are shown on each product page.
Can I add a name?
On personalised designs, yes. Type the name into the box on the product page and it is printed on the card. Premade designs are printed exactly as shown, with no name.
Is anything printed inside?
No. The inside is left blank so you can write your own message. Any personalisation is printed on the front of the card.
Does it come with an envelope?
Yes. Every card is sent with an envelope included in the price, kraft or white depending on the design.
Are the cards foiled or printed?
Both. Most designs are printed on 300gsm card with a smooth matte finish, and some are finished with real foil pressed by hand. A few are scratch-off. The finish is stated on each product page.
What if I spot a mistake in the details?
Message me straight away. If it has not gone to print yet I will fix it at no cost. Once it is printed and dispatched, a replacement is a paid reprint.
How long before it arrives?
Made to order and dispatched within 2 to 4 working days, then standard An Post delivery within Ireland.
