Foil Prints
The prints in this collection are the ones that can be run in real hot foil, pressed sheet by sheet in the studio rather than printed as metallic ink. Mostly Irish and Gaeilge typography, Fáilte, Éire Go Brách, Grá agus Gáire and Put the Kettle On, with one French outlier in C'est la Vie. Gold, silver and rose gold are the usual choices, with more foil colours available, and each design is also offered as a straight printed version. About these Foil Prints
Real foil is not the same thing as metallic ink and the difference is obvious the moment a print is on a wall. Foil is a physical layer pressed into the card under heat, so it moves with the light in the room and goes almost dark when you stand off to the side. Printed metallic sits flat and stays the same from every angle. Everything in this collection can be run either way, so the choice is yours.
The trade-off is that foil has to be pressed sheet by sheet, which is why these are made to order rather than held in stock. Gold, silver and rose gold are the usual requests, and there are more foil colours available if you want something less expected against a dark wall. The card underneath is 300gsm uncoated, which is deliberate: uncoated stock has no sheen of its own, so the only thing catching light is the foil itself.

Foil Prints questions, answered
Do prints come framed?
No, prints are sent unframed. They are standard A5, A4 and A3 sizes, so they fit off the shelf frames without cutting or mounting.
How are they posted?
Flat, in a rigid protective sleeve, so nothing arrives creased or rolled.
Can I check the wording before it prints?
For a short name and date I print without a separate proof. For longer or unusual wording, message me first and I will confirm it before printing.
What is the foil like on a print?
Real foil pressed by hand in gold, silver, rose gold or holographic, so the lettering moves in the light. It photographs badly and looks far better in person, which is why each listing says which parts are foiled.
Can I have different names or wording?
Most designs allow your own names, dates and short wording, entered in the personalisation box on the product page.
Can I get the same design in a different size later?
Yes, most designs are available across A5, A4 and A3, so if you want a bigger or smaller version afterwards, just order it as a separate print.
How long before it arrives?
Made to order and dispatched within 2 to 4 working days, then standard An Post delivery within Ireland.
