About these Simple Birthday Cards
Not every birthday card should be trying to be funny. These are the plain ones: clean type, plenty of white space, and the name or the number doing all the work. They suit the people who would find a joke card embarrassing, the relationships where you are not quite sure of the tone, and anyone who just wants the card to look like it was chosen deliberately.
This is also where the foil earns its money. On a busy design the foil competes with everything else. On a plain one it is the only thing happening, and it looks it.
Made to order in my studio in Mallow, County Cork, on heavyweight cardstock, blank inside, with a kraft or white envelope. Real foil is pressed by hand one sheet at a time in gold, silver, rose gold or holographic. Dispatch is 2 to 4 working days by An Post. How does personalising work?
On the product page there's a box for the name, age or wording you want. Some designs add that text into the printed design itself, others leave the inside blank for you to write by hand. Each product page says which one it is.
Can I see a proof before it's printed?
For a straightforward name and date, I print without a separate proof. If your wording is longer or unusual, message me first and I'll confirm it before it goes to print.
What if I spot a typo after I've ordered?
Message me as soon as you can. If it hasn't gone to print yet I can fix it for free. Once it's printed and dispatched, a replacement is a paid reprint.
What foil colours do you offer?
Gold, silver, rose gold and holographic, plus gold holographic on some designs, I have over 30 foil color to choose from. Each product page shows which colours are available for that card.
Which size should I pick?
A6 is the standard card size and A5 is roughly double, better when the design carries a lot of wording or you want it to feel like a keepsake.
How long before it arrives?
